KISS: Keep it Simple, Stupid!

I have been seeing heaps of large and small organisations lately that are over-complicating their businesses by trying to do everything themselves.

What do I mean by this?

Think about your business...

How do you make money? The answer to that question is your core business.

What percentage of your business day is actually devoted to your core business? Selling, consulting, provisioning and supplying are your core operations. Chances are, no matter what industry you are in, one or more of these are your core business functions. So what other stuff do you lump yourself with on a day to day basis?

If you are honest with yourself, you probably spend a lot of time looking after other things within the business on a day-to-day basis and not looking after what you make money from - your core business.

Outsourcing is a great way to ensure that you can concentrate on your core business and that your employees are doing the same.

If you have someone that looks after everything outside your core business then what are you left with? YOUR CORE BUSINESS!!! Wouldn't it be nice to just be able to concentrate on the things that make you money?
